WHERE I'VE BEEN: Sorry for the unexplained absence - my brother and I went to Florida for four days to visit out grandparents. I'm glad you all were entertained in the meantime by the battle of the dueling Marty Funkhausers. Highlights from the trip include playing shuffleboard (seriously, incredible game), swimming, an awesome dinner at Charley's Crab, a nice lunch at Sweet Tomatoes (a great South Florida salad bar chain which is also in California under the name Souplantation), playing golf (terribly) with Dr. Goldberg, and of course, spending lots of quality time with our Nana and Papa. Lowlights included seeing "Kicking and Screaming" (Ferrell had some funny moments but all in all just a terrible movie - a real indictment of everything that's wrong with big Hollywood movies), losing money playing poker at the Seminole Casino (especially since I actually played pretty well for a change), and not making it to any of the three Phillies-Marlins games that were played while we were down there. Also I was ecstatic to hear that the weather was awful in New York while we were down there, because I'm that guy. Having written one measly paragraph...I'm taking another break. I'm off to Philly tomorrow for the Memorial Day weekend, which will include celebrating my brother's college graduation. I might have a chance to write while I'm at home but I seriously hope you have better things to do. Have a great holiday and I'll be back on Tuesday.
