WEEKEND WRAP-UP: For most of you living on the East Coast the big story this weekend was probably the blizzard. And yes, it was cold and it snowed a lot. But in reality, when you live in the city, a big snowstorm does not have nearly the effect on your life that it does in the 'burbs. No awful driving conditions, no closings, and most importantly, no shoveling. The pickings at the video store were pretty slim, though, which is how Dena and I ended up renting "Club Dread". Yecch. No, for me, there was much bigger news this weekend. First of all, the Philadelphia Eagles, the team I care about more than any other, finally advanced to the Super Bowl yesterday after losing in the NFC title game for the past three years. For those of you "long-suffering" Red Sox fans, let me remind you that your Celtics and Patriots have had plenty of success over the years, while no Philly team has won a championship since 1983. And the Eagles haven't even made the Super Bowl in 24 years. So I was excited, yes, but more than anything, stunned. I'm so used to failure, I didn't know how to react to success. We'll see what happens in two weeks, though - I'm very, very nervous about the Pats. Other cool news - for those of you who have always wondered what my girlfriend looks like, pick up a copy of this month's Glamour magazine (the one with Kelly Ripa on the cover) and turn to page 157. She's the one lying to the girl with the bad case of hathead, telling her her hair looks cute. Unbelievable - I've been doing stand-up for six years and Dena gets famous before I do. That's about it - talk to you soon.
